Browser-based Maestro Web PMS provides secure flexibility in the cloud
 
“HITEC 2014 will be a major event for NORTHWIND with the debut of 3 innovations,” said NORTHWIND-Maestro PMS President Warren Dehan. “We will demonstrate Maestro Web, our new fully-functional, browser-based Maestro PMS that includes all 21 of our modules. This is not a ‘light cloud’ system. It is a secure, PA-DSS-certified application. Maestro Web may be hosted remotely and accessed concurrently by premise-based users on the same property or on the same multi-property network. No new user training is needed.”
 
Maestro Web, based on years of NORTHWIND PMS development experience, is compatible with current Maestro versions and networks. “This is the same Maestro our clients are familiar with, not a different system. It has the same functionality, but is available now as a browser-based solution for the cloud, or on-premise for greater flexibility,” Dehan said.
 
Tablet suite enables personalized guest service via seamless mobile communication
 
NORTHWIND will unveil an enhanced suite of Tablet guest engagement tools. “Tablets are gaining wider adoption in hospitality because they are portable and easy to use,” Dehan said. “Our new tablet tools enable seamless communication by housekeeping staff to and from Maestro PMS. Mobile room status updates get guests to their rooms faster. For personalized service, staff can easily send SMS text messages to guests when their room is ready. Operators can also use our Maestro iPad system for guest check-in and check-out with folio display and key encoding.”
 
Online video tutorials and Direct Help offer robust, user-friendly support
 
“We will also launch our eLearning solution at HITEC, showcasing our new Maestro Online Video Tutorials and Direct Help,” Dehan said. “Our goal is to help users maximize their productivity. Maestro’s new functions enable staff to be more confident at work. Both of these new support functions are included in Maestro’s Diamond Plus Service at no additional cost.”
 
Maestro Online Video Tutorials launch from a new NORTHWIND eLearning website that gives users robust, in-depth function, Features include capability reviews of Maestro’s modules to refresh knowledge or quickly learn how to use Maestro capabilities.
 
Maestro Direct Help is context-sensitive, so PMS users may instantly access Maestro Video Tutorials while on the field where they need help. Users press F1 to go directly to the textual help that relates to the screen they are on. Users can also access video tutorials based on module. An additional feature allows users who receive an error message to send a screen shot that helps the support team evaluate the problem. This simplifies support and ensures an optimum user experience.
